Bilingual Desired Summary: The Principal promotes the educational development of students through effective supervision and administrative skills and interaction with school personnel, students, parents, patrons and administrator and serves as the instructional leader of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All or some of the following tasks may be required.

Assist in the administration of the school and its instructional program a assigned by the principal.
Administer the school and its instructional program in all areas.
Interpret and implement Board policies and administrative rules.
Direct and supervise the school staff providing assistance and making evaluations according to District policy.
Assist in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training and assigning of school staff.
Coordinate the school's pupil personnel services.
Manage office staff to support a welcoming and efficient office.
Provide for supervision of all extracurricular activities.
Assume responsibility for the attendance, conduct and safety of students.
Interpret the school's program to the community and enlist the participation of the community in school life.
Inform the District office about activities in the school and forward required information and reports.
Promote and participate in the ongoing improvement of the school curricu lum.
Participate as a resource member of the District Budget Committee.

Prepare and submit the school's budgetary requests and control expen ditures of budgeted funds.

Stay current and contribute to practices and research as they pertain to education and school operation.

Comply with all Board policies, administrative regulations and District procedures, as well as all state, federal and local laws and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications: Possess current Oregon Administrative License.
At least three years of teaching experience in public schools is desired.
At least one year in administration or equivalent experience is desired.
Have working knowledge of building operation and maintenance, curricu lum and planning, personnel management and budgeting.
Must have exceptional personal integrity, maturity, collaborative skills and personal interest in working with students, staff, parents and the community.
