Benefits to you We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.

Position Highlights The 10th Judicial District is hiring a Release Assistance Officer.
This position will be based at the Union County Circuit Court in La Grande, Oregon, and will also perform work for the Wallowa County Circuit Court in Enterprise, Oregon.
In this role, you will determine pretrial release options for defendants by using pretrial management programs and risk assessment tools.
You will determine who, upon release, is most likely to appear in court, is not likely to commit new offenses, and does not pose a threat to the community or themselves.
Additionally, you will interview defendants who are being held in custody pending trial.
You will use internal law enforcement, jail, and court case management systems, as well as defendant monitoring software, to research and complete risk assessments and determine release eligibility.
You will also monitor defendants’ compliance with the conditions of their release, help pretrial defendants with appearing for court, and consider public and victim safety when making release recommendations.
As a resource for judges and attorneys, you will testify in court about your release recommendations and decisions to revoke release for noncompliance.
You will also complete administrative tasks and perform data entry related to pretrial release, including preparing and routing documents, completing forms, and reviewing court orders.
Part of your time will be spent answering questions from judges, court staff, and the public about pretrial release, court appointed counsel, and court processes generally.
You will occasionally attend national and statewide pretrial release meetings, mandatory OJD trainings, and other training sessions as appropriate.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
