Wyckoff Farms Inc is a large, vertically integrated, Eastern Washington agricultural, food & beverage processing organization in search of a Quality Assurance Manager to join our IQF team.
*Job Description* Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, this role is responsible for implementing the Company’s overall quality philosophy and standards; developing and maintaining a quality assurance system at every level of production; developing policies and standard operating procedures; developing benchmark criteria and ensuring that quality standards are being met at every level of production.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that food products meet standards set by the Company and regulatory authorities.
The Quality Assurance Manager must be knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations.
Common standards the Quality Assurance Manager is expected to be familiar with include the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) management system required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the standards set by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI).
This is a highly influential and impactful role where collaboration is essential to success.
Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an unwavering tenacity for perfection are a must.
Working with the leadership team, the Quality Assurance Manager will ensure that the assembled team, amassed technology, and developed systems can deliver on the Company’s promise of being the preeminent producer of products.
The Quality Assurance Manager must be able to interact across inter-departmental boundaries in a professional, proactive manner, avoiding conflicts and exemplifying a collaborative spirit.
*Duties may include and are not limited to the following.
* * Develop, review and update the company’s compliance policy to ensure that it is up-to-date with current standards.
* Periodic assessment of the company’s operations to ascertain if all departments are complying with required regulations and are in line with internal and external rules and report findings to stakeholders.
* Coordinate and document internal regulatory process, such as internal audits, inspections, license renewals, or registrations.
* Observe compliance risk controls to determine deviations and suggest recommendations on how to manage non-compliance issues.
* Make necessary corrections as well as resolve issues of non-compliance in a way that prevents recurrence.
* Collaboration with all departments to address issues regarding compliance and recommend courses of actions to resolve the issues.
* Highly active, hands-on role; will work closely with the manufacturing team in real time review and approval of documentation and activities.
* Correct and address issues of non-compliance in a manner that limits recurrence and promotes adherence to set rules.
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulations so as to be able to effectively handle any risk that may arise.
* Maintain compliance with cGMP quality systems.
* Review documents, such as SOP’s, Production Processing forms, COA, Product disposition and release.
* Develop & Monitor training program.
* Assist in the Investigation of product complaints and prepare documentation and submissions to appropriate stakeholders.
* Analyze product complaints and make recommendations regarding improvements.
* Maintain compliance of the CAPA system * Assist in the training of quality assurance / non-lab quality control employees.
* Involved with new plant processes to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Audits HACCP paperwork monthly.
* Other duties as assigned by Director of QA/QC.
Other Job Functions: * Follow GMP and SOP guidelines.
* Attend required training, safety and departmental meetings.
* Operate equipment in a safe manner following safety training.
* Participates in meetings.
* Train others.
* Daily review of Quality Control Paperwork * Daily computer entry to maintain quality standards.
*Work Environment*: · Our Shifts During Non-Harvest Times Late August-May are 10 hr.

– Harvest times Normally late June to Mid-August will be 12 hour shifts 7 days a week.

*Pay and Benefits: DOQ.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $67,724.
80 - $90,478.
