Including poultry egg processing plant machines and supporting equipment.
Will perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
Will perform periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and effectively.
This position supports the daily achievement of production goals through ensuring the proper functionality of our machines.
*Essential Job Functions:* 1.
Under minimal supervision, repair and perform advanced maintenance on industrial machinery (i.
e.
, automation, mechanical, electrical, conveying systems, etc.
) using manufactures recommendations and company SOPs to ensure equipment is performing safely and to required specifications 2.
Identify root cause of advanced mechanical and electrical issues and performs essential repairs that may include welding, fabricating parts, plumbing, or replacing defective components.
Works with appropriate personnel and management if further attention is required to resolve the issue 3.
Diagnose and conduct overall conveyor maintenance on schedule as required 4.
Sustain and improve Preventative Maintenance Program on all processing equipment Perform preventive maintenance on schedule for processing machines and supporting equipment 5.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures 6.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components 7.
Uses test equipment to diagnose system controls, software issues, malfunctioning machine systems, apparatus, and components 8.
Troubleshooting and replace or repair drive chains, gears, belts, pullies, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gear boxes 9.
Communicates with management to help maintain adequate tools/supplies for necessary repairs and maintenance.
Initiates purchase order for parts and supplies 10.
Responsible for maintaining tools, keeping them clean and in good working condition.
Keep work area organized, clean and free to move in 11.
In the absence of supervision can make sound decisions and can provide leadership in the work group to resolve issues and assign task 12.
Assist other technicians in the performance of maintenance activities and/or providing training/guidance 13.
Actively participate in and promotes our safety culture by following safe work practices 14.
Identify unsafe conditions and corrects.
Work with management to resolve safety concerns 15.
When working in processing follows all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures.
Reports any violations to a supervisor.
Be familiar with USDA regulations 16.

High School Diploma or GED preferred 2.
Must have additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical or equivalent hands-on experience 3.
5+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance required 4.
Preferred skills; with diagnostics, advanced electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems 5.
Maintenance experience in the food, poultry or agriculture industry not required but is a plus 6.
Reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand and follow SOP’s and other written instructions or work details 7.
Previous leadership role is a plus 8.
Strong time management, operational and analytical skills 9.
Strong problem solving, project management and planning skills 10.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and management.
Can take lead on training new employees and process improvement projects 11.
Sound work ethic, honesty, team oriented and moral character 12.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 13.
Experience with safety/equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE a plus 14.
