CBC is seeking a Basic Needs Navigator who will serve as a point of contact for CBC enrolled students who are experiencing basic needs insecurity.
The Navigator will also work to integrate internal student supports and facilitate inclusion of external resources through committee work, cross-training, and inter-departmental connections.
The Navigator will integrate efforts with Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Strategic Planning, and student service programs in an effort to lessen basic need insecurity among students.
This position reports to the Director for the Workforce Education Center.

The College will conduct initial interviews with selected candidates via Zoom and will conduct on-campus interviews with finalists.

Primary Responsibilities Contribute to the development of the statewide and campus specific Hunger-Free and Basic Needs Strategic Plan development and implementation; Facilitate the formation and execution of a cooperative campus effort among student supports, e.
g.
the formation of an internal Basic Needs committee; Support the implementation of a student survey that assesses food and housing security and access to basic economic supports; Provide a low barrier intake process for students that includes appropriate assessment and presentation of the college and community resources available; provide students with referrals for supportive services within the college and with community partners that help meet their basic needs; Participate in Local Planning Area (LPA) meetings and efforts; connect with local and regional community resources to facilitate referrals and “warm hand-offs”; Assist students in applying for financial aid, including grants and scholarships; Actively participate as a member of the Basic Needs Navigator Cohort while working with other Basic Needs Navigators to enhance community partnerships that support students and increase options for individuals to meet their basic needs; Support the development of new community partnerships to increase resources for students; Support efforts to integrate student support programs at the college and enhance leveraging of college resources to holistically support students; and Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in student support or social work; Bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited college or university (equivalent combination of education and experience can substitute); Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends as required.
