*Job Summary:*
As a Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for our patients so you have a vital role in helping create a warm and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include pre-registration/scheduling, message and queue management, medical records request management, referral management, and billing/payment processing/charge reconciliation.
*Job Duties*
* Coordinates all aspects of patient scheduling, rescheduling, cancelling and managing appointments in a fashion that meets patient care needs and optimizes provider schedules.

* Manages multi-line telephone system (incoming and outgoing).
Following guidelines to identify and direct patient calls for scheduling, or to the appropriate department
* Performs eligibility checks on patients as necessary by telephone or electronically as appropriate.
* Verify active and contracted insurance coverage in multiple systems and/or educate patients on co-insurance/co-pay, self-pay, L&I, MVA, Medicaid, Medicare/Medicare Advantage, etc.
* Provides great customer service for internal and external customers requesting information related to pending authorizations, authorization process or other related issues.
* Requests, confirms and validates interpreter services.

Monday - Thursday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, Friday 11:00am - 5:00 pm - Closed Saturday/Sunday

*Required education and experience*
* Bilingual Spanish speaking
* Minimum one-year medical office experience
* High School graduate or GED
* Job experience that demonstrates an understanding of medical terminology
* Prior job knowledge and use of electronic medical records (EMR)
* Previous switchboard experience
* WA State Insurance knowledge
* Familiarity with HIPAA and other health industry compliance standard
*Preferred education and experience*
* Additional medical office experience (2 to 5 years)
