Overview: PNNL’s Human Resources organization is comprised of 130 committed professionals working to advance the interests of the lab and support scientific discovery and excellence.

We are on a mission to find our next University Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team.
As a University Recruiter, you will contribute to the PNNL mission by developing and implementing strategies to attract top talent from universities nationwide.
This role requires a deep understanding of the scientific and research-based recruitment needs of a national laboratory, along with a commitment to developing innovative strategies for attracting top talent from universities nationwide.

Click Here For Rockstar Rewards Responsibilities: The University Recruiter: Establishes and maintains relationships with key universities and academic institutions.
Collaborates with hiring managers and recruitment colleagues to develop robust partnerships and programs with academic institutions, aligned with strategic hiring objectives.
Leads and innovates campus recruitment strategies, including attending career fairs, presentations, and hosting information sessions.
Leverages a variety of innovative tools and platforms to conduct effective outreach.
Creates engaging job postings, ensures the visibility and attractiveness of postings across various channels including university career portals and job boards, and monitors and analyzes posting effectiveness for continuous improvement.
Screens and evaluates potential candidates, focusing on their alignment with PNNL’s needs.
Acts as a strategic talent advisor to hiring managers, offering innovative solutions and leading project teams when necessary.
Provides and supports diversity in recruitment, ensuring PNNL attracts candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines.
Conducts comprehensive research and lead initiatives on campus recruiting trends and practices, ensuring PNNL remains a preferred choice for emerging talent.
Represents PNNL at national and regional conferences further enhancing PNNL’s reputation as a premier employer.
Solves complex recruitment challenges by adopting new perspectives and innovative approaches.
Provides guidance and mentorship on recruitment strategies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: In-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies and best practices.
Knowledge of OFCCP regulations and employment laws Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and tools.
Proven ability to lead and influence recruitment practices and strategies, improving the hiring manager and candidate experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven track record of leading recruitment projects and initiatives.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
Ability to travel (up to 40%).
This is a hybrid position based in Richland, WA with a minimum of 2 days required to be on-site.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA and 5 years of relevant experience -OR- MS/MA or higher and 3 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience in university and/or campus recruitment.
Experience in a scientific or research-oriented environment.
