As admissions coordinator, you manage admission and discharge assessments as well as supervising the team of nurses and caregivers.
:
You will:
* Complete admissions and discharges.
* Supervise nurses and CNAs and ensure adequate staffing for their and oncoming shifts.
Coordination of last-minute staff shortages.
* Monitor residents' condition and assess their needs to provide the best care and advice.
* Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
* Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for residents.
* Perform routine nursing duties, adjust and administer residents' medications and provide treatments according to physicians' orders.
* Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts.
Investigate all incident reports and follow up.
* Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care.
Train new nurses.
* Additional duties as needed.
You Have:
* Possess Nursing License (RN or LPN) within state, in good standing.
* Two years of skilled nursing experience required
* Work independently, problem solve, and manage conflict.
* Know resident rights.
Help residents/patients exercise and protect their rights.
* Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient information.
* Follow and adheres to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.
