Pudelpointer Puppies for sale
I have had many dogs in my lifetime and hunted with many different breeds over the years.
About 5
years ago I learned about pudelpointers and after reading that they are good versatile hunting dogs and they do not shed, I decided I needed to have one.
I was lucky enough to get Jocko (the Sire of these pups) from one of the most prestigious and well-known breeders in the pudelpointer world.
Jocko has been the most amazing dog I have ever been around; I do not think I will ever own another breed of dog.
Jocko is a great pointing dog as well as a very accomplished shed hunting dog, both deer and elk.
Jocko hunts upland hard with a phenomenal nose and great pointing and retrieving instinct.
He also water retrieves very well.
I was able to train Jocko to seek out, locate and notify me of large elk shed antlers that he can’t pick up.
Yes, Jocko will locate elk antlers and stand with them barking until I get to him, one of the coolest things I have seen a dog do.
He will pick up smaller elk antlers and deer antlers and bring them to me.
Jocko is a hard driving hunting dog but also a great family dog with an off switch when at home, he has great manners and is a joy to be around.
Then came Charlotte (these puppies mom’s littermate sister) and Storm (these puppies Dame).
Charlotte is my dog and Storm is my sister’s dog.
They are now 2 years old.
Charlotte has become a great hunting dog next to Jocko.
She had amazing pointing instincts from the start and backed Jocko naturally with no training which was a pleasant surprise to me.
I have hunted her by herself a lot this year and she is doing awesome! Storm has not had as much hunting opportunity due to my sister having a child when Storm was about a year and a half old, but I have taken Storm and done some training with her and the instincts are definitely there, and I know the genetics are there because her sister Charlotte is doing great.
While the Sire was from an esteemed breeder and member of the Pudelpointer Alliance, Storm and Charlotte were a mistake that happened at a trainers house.
His Pudelpointer female was in heat and a client’s trainee Pudelpointer male dog found a way to get to her.
Being that the parents of these dogs
were young and had not been NAVHDA tested he did not market them, just sold to friends as unregistered hunting dogs.
We did this breeding because I want another dog and some friends really wanted pups from these dogs.
For this reason they are being sold as nothing more than unregistered hunting dogs.
This is a “backyard
breeding” that I am sure will produce phenomenal hunting dogs if given the chance, but will not fit into
any of the breed standards for registration.
The puppies have had dew claws removed and tails docked and will receive their 1
st puppy shots at 6
weeks old.
They will be 7 weeks old on 2/24/24 and ready to go to their new homes.
Price is $1000.
