*Accounting Clerk*
SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk reports to the General Manager and is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services.
This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and preparing and monitoring the payroll system.
Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finances are accurate and up to date, that staff are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.
Essential Job Duties:
Accounts Payable:
· Responsible for coding invoices, entering into accounting system, and paying vendors in a timely manner
· Reconciling vendor statements, completing credit applications.
Accounts Receivable:
· Preparing invoicing with associated backup.
· Record cash receipts into accounting software
· Provide timely reporting to management
Payroll:
· Enter timecards into accounting software, process checks
· Process taxes, 401k deposits, garnishments, and other payroll deductions
· Process and file all State and Federal Payroll tax forms and payments in a timely manner.
General:
· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
· Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
· Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
· Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes.
· Adhere to State, Federal, and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures and report hazards to management.
· Reconcile Bank Statements
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
· Preferable 1 to 3 years’ experience working as an Accountant.
· Preferable Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
· Knowledge of GAAP principles.
· Knowledge of Adobe & Microsoft Office including Advanced Excel (Pivot Table, IF functions, Vlookup, etc), Word, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.
01 - $25.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
