Fowler General Construction is seeking experienced candidates to join our team within our Accounting department.
Specific position, duties, and pay dependent on your qualifications (ranging from intermediate to executive levels).
As an Accounting Specialist at Fowler, we're looking for individuals who have a versatile skillset in accounting including AP/AR, payroll, contracts, insurance, invoicing, office administration, and clerical knowledge.
Understanding commercial construction (Sage 300) is a plus but not necessary.
Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and punctuality is required.

*Responsibilities:*
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Conduct cash flow analysis and monitor cash balances
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting needs
- Assist with internal and external audits, including SOX compliance
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations
- Support the implementation of new accounting software or systems
*Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (desired)
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of accrual accounting principles
- Experience with account analysis and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of wage rates and requirements
- Previous experience in public accounting or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with financial accounting standards and technical accounting research
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights/recommendations
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
