*HR Generalist to include Payroll * Growing Construction Company founded in 2013 seeking a qualified HR Generalist who is flexible and adaptable to join our team.

*HR Responsibilities * _These lists of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities or exchange duties as management may deem necessary for the best interest of the company (HR and Payroll software used is Pro-Contractor by Viewpoint.
ProCore for Time-Keeping)_ * Maintain up-to-date knowledge & compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance requirements, regulations, and recommended best practices * Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
* Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
(Unemployment, Child support, Garnishments, * Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
* Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation * Maintain employee personnel records and applications * Schedules DOT examinations by coordinating appointments.
* Assist in Answering the telephones * Assist in Issuing Purchase orders * Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training * Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations * Conducts audits on personnel files and required forms * 401K Enrollment & Distribution * Performance review Tracking * Workers comp claims *Payroll Responsibilities:* * Maintain and process payroll information by collecting and entering data.
* Complete weekly payroll and payroll tax, garnishment payments * Maintains and enters payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
* Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
* Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave etc.
* Communicates payroll deductions to retirement administrators for 401(k) plans and other pre-taxation savings plans.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, or year-end reporting.
* Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and processing * Answering questions and requests from staff and employee’s * Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.
* Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
* Prevailing wage Certified payroll *Compensation, Work hours & Benefits* · Pay range: $40k - $80k \*could be an hourly wage · Schedule: Monday-Friday 30-45 hours per week.

*Human Resources & Payroll Skills and Qualifications* * Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field, Maintaining employee files * Understanding of state and federal employment regulations * Understanding of personnel and compliance records management * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities * Ability to maintain confidentiality · Organization, Time Management * Reporting & Research Skills, Analyzing information * Dependability * Orienting employees * Data entry skills * Strong Attention to detail * Accuracy * Deadline driven * Flexibility and adaptability * Good general math skills * Familiarity with financial software * Familiarity with accounting principles *Preferred Education & Experience * * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * Associates degree preferred in HR –or- Business Administration –or- Accounting-or-Experience in a related field * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook) * Bilingual English/Spanish a plus * Previous payroll processing experience a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.
