*HR Responsibilities *

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge & compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance requirements, regulations, and recommended best practices
* Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
* Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
(Unemployment, Child support, Garnishments,
* Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
* Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation
* Maintain employee personnel records and applications
* Schedules DOT examinations by coordinating appointments.
* Assist in Answering the telephones
* Assist in Issuing Purchase orders
* Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training
* Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
* Conducts audits on personnel files and required forms
* 401K Enrollment & Distribution
* Performance review Tracking
* Workers comp claims
*Payroll Responsibilities:*
* Maintain and process payroll information by collecting and entering data.
* Complete weekly payroll and payroll tax, garnishment payments
* Maintains and enters payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
* Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
* Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave etc.
* Communicates payroll deductions to retirement administrators for 401(k) plans and other pre-taxation savings plans.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, or year-end reporting.
* Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and processing
* Answering questions and requests from staff and employee’s
* Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.
* Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
* Prevailing wage Certified payroll
*Compensation, Work hours & Benefits*
· Pay range: $40k - $80k \*could be an hourly wage
· Schedule: Monday-Friday 30-45 hours per week.

* Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
* Previous payroll processing experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.
