Payroll Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our company's accounting division team.
Responsibilities: - Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner - Calculate and deduct appropriate taxes, benefits, and other withholdings - Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations - Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters - Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate payroll reporting - Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors - Generate reports on payroll expenses, taxes, and deductions Requirements: - Experience in davis beacon and prevailing wage.
-Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to payroll processing - Proficiency in accounting principles and practices - Experience with technical accounting tasks, such as account reconciliation and financial analysis - Familiarity with payroll software systems - Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines - Effective communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries -Must have ability to pass a drug screen -Must have ability to pass a background check Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.
