Description:We are looking for a versatile individual to join our team in Boardman, Oregon.
The Commodity & AP Specialist plays a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring the efficient management of commodities and contributing to the overall success of Beef Northwest Feeders, LLC.
The Commodity & AP Specialist must be highly organized, possess good fundamental computer and accounting skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and can learn and master various feed yard related software systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability is a must.
Good communication skills, oral and written, problem-solving skills, integrity, self-motivation, and true teamwork ethic is required.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Weekly commodity scheduling and ordering.
* Trade AP and purchase card for Boardman and NPB.
* Trade payables bi-monthly
* Commodity inventory and reconciliation for NPB.
* Daily input of commodity and feed mill sales tickets.
* Daily load count reporting.
* Scale attendant.
* Monthly fuel inventory.
* Customer relationships, reporting, and feed yard services
* Budget planning and management
* Accounts Receivable and Notes Receivable
* Accounts Payable
* Quality assurance standards, management, and controls
* Assist co-workers as needed.
* Other tasks or duties as required.
*Qualifications:*
* Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Word & Excel.
* Must be organized, self-motivated, and hardworking.
* Must be able to work efficiently with frequent interruptions.
* Must welcome change and be adaptable.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Task-oriented individual.
* Flexibility to work longer than normal schedule (earlier or later).
* Agriculture Industry background is preferred.
* Must be able to work occasional weekends and infrequently travel to meetings and conferences.
* Must be flexible and able to work and grow with the company and the office.
Requirements: *Typical Physical Requirements:*
* Mostly Light Work exerting up to 20 pounds of force infrequently.
* Requires reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity.
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Person subject to mostly inside environmental conditions, but occasionally will have to go outside in the yard to assist co-workers with computers and other issues.
*Skills Requirements:*
* Excellent Customer Service.
* Accurate and timely entry of Commodity Tickets into Computer.
* Accurate and timely payments to the Vendors.
* Accurate and timely reports.
* Accurate scheduling of commodities.
