The Staff Accountant is an essential role responsible for the most vital functions of our business.
In this position, you will be required to prepare general-ledger account reconciliations, provide accurate reporting, data verification, monitor accounting policies and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement related to accounting best practices, study existing and new legislation to ensure compliance with national and local financial requirements, and represent Abadan in a positive and professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties Include, but not limited to:
* Conduct mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification
* Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
* Assist in providing schedules and commentary for operational management account results and variances, and for the production of working-capital cash-flow reports
* Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets
* Prepare special financial reports, when requested by senior managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
* Process payroll and other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance (preferred)
* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Problem-Solving ability
* High-Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
