Job Summary
Processes payroll and related liabilities for employees.
All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for processing and maintaining accurate and timely payroll accounting records in a manner consistent with accounting principles and Yellowhawk’s Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Ensures for consistency and accuracy in payroll documentation, including leave authorizations, clarifying inconsistencies with supervisors.
Generates payroll checks and direct deposit along with related liabilities information.
Prepares quarterly federal & state tax forms- 941, OQ/132 and workers compensation.
Generates employee W2’s, record copies, federal & state copies and e-filing through Atrix.
Assists employees in understanding payroll calculations and deductions, investigates problems, report findings to the appropriate staff and makes appropriate correction if necessary.
Assists employees in understanding Yellowhawk’s Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Assists in analyzing, reconciling and posting information to general ledger accounts.
Prepares required reports, records and files in accurate and organized manner.
Assists finance department staff as backup.
This may include but is not limited to preparing and processing purchase orders, reviewing journal entries, accounts payable checks, daily deposits to the bank, etc.
Participates in educational and professional development activities.
Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Performs related work as required.
Other duties as assigned.
