About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our BizOps (Outsourcing) practice who can sit in any of our Central Washington office locations (Moses Lake, Quincy, Othello, Omak, Tri Cities, Wenatchee, Yakima).
Our BizOps service helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll/payroll tax reporting
Complete account reconciliations and record transactions as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual adjusting and closing process - accruals, investments, debt, industry specific, etc.
Proactively create process and procedure documentation and builds backup support
Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements
Assist annually with preparation for the independent auditors
Identify accounting errors, research technical issues, and proactively resolve issues
Apply GAAP (FASB/SFAS) related to our clients’ specific industries
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree is required (accounting/finance preferred).
Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required
Aptitude to develop a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems e.
g QuickBooks, Intacct, Great Plains, Yardi, MRI, Timberline, Sage, Foundations, Xero, Peoplesoft
Strong working knowledge of GAAP

Compensation Strategy:

These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.
The range for this role in Washington is $62,000 - $98,000.
