Operations Assistant/Transportation Liaison The Pendleton School District has an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant/Transportation Liaison.
Closing Date: Open until filled.
Salary Range: $48,318 to $53,343 Depending on experience.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (Districts contribution 23-24 school year is $1850.

Reports to: Director of Business Services/Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment.
Job Description: Transportation Liaison: Assist bus company with bus routes and student assignment to routes.
Field staff and parent calls about student transportation.
Ensure us routes are current and communicated to necessary stakeholders.
Manage all Type 10 and 20 training requirements.
Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure student transportation is safe and efficient.
Operations Assistant: Assist as directed with purchasing, inventory and other district operations (lead testing, utilities costs tracking, filter replacement schedule, Data Tracking: Manage and organize reports and data as requested (CPR certified lists, student grades, attendance, state testing, and summer school).
Other duties: Serve the district in a professional confidential manner and provide support to other district personnel as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent as required by OAR 581-37- 030, Oregon Department of Education.
Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with district personnel, transportation contractor and the public, using tact, courtesy, and good judgement.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information related to district financial and legal matters.
Ability to work independently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to respond sensitively to inquiries or complaints from district personnel and the public.
Ability to perform administrative support functions requiring independent judgement, decision making, and problem solving.
Ability to establish and maintain filing and record keeping systems.
Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
Ability to tolerate frequent interruptions.
Skilled in computer operation and use of computer programs, data base programs; use of telephone, copier, and other office equipment.
Perform physical requirements which may include: Light to moderate degree of physical stamina and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, Ability to stand, walk and bend frequently.
Ability to use telephone, computer and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
Flexible and adaptable to changing activities and workloads.
Such alternative to the above requirements as the School Board or the Administration may deem appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following as well as other duties as assigned or as needed.
Act as a liaison between the Pendleton School District and the transportation contractor.
Coordinate the integration of the transportation routing software and the district’s student information system.
Maintain student data in the district’s student information system as it pertains to transportation routes.
Receive telephone calls from parents and district staff, resolves problems and concerns in a positive manner; provides information as appropriate or route calls to other officials as necessary for resolution and follow-up.
Maintain working knowledge of bus routes within the district boundary areas.
Monitor compliance of required processes and procedures pertaining to bus ridership lists, seating charts, daily attendance logs, Type 10 and 20 training of staff.
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
Develop forms and databases as necessary.
Assist in the process of ordering and receiving of merchandise and services using district purchasing procedures.
Assist in the delivery of correspondence and supplies to/from the schools.
Maintain a database for the districtwide inventory, vehicle maintenance and district keys.
Perform other tasks (which may require knowledge of other job descriptions) as deemed to be appropriate.
Terms of employment: Work year, salary and benefits as established in accordance with the Confidential working agreement.
EVALUATION: Following the probationary period performance of this job will be evaluated annually based on appropriate goals and objectives.
