Summary:
Our busy orthopaedic ambulatory surgery center is looking for a patient services representative with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Patient services representatives are expected to be compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record keeping skills.
Typical work week is Monday through Friday, weekends off and paid holidays!
Position Duties:
Responsibilities vary between positions, but could include:
Promote the mission, vision, and values of Tri-City Orthopaedic Clinic
Greet each individual professionally, promptly, and with a smile
Answer incoming phone calls and route them to appropriate person, department, or voicemail
Schedule/reschedule patients according to provider scheduling guidelines
Communicate effectively with clinical staff and providers regarding patient scheduling issues
Accept payments on account(i.
e.
co-insurance, co-pay, payment on account)
Provide excellent service
Schedule evaluation appointments for referrals and prepare proper paperwork for patient
Prepare and release medical records as appropriate
Verify appointments are scheduled and authorized based on patient insurance plan
Open/closing duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned

Education, Licenses and Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma/GED
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
1+ years’ experience as a patient services representative
Preferred:
Familiarity with EMR system
Knowledge of medical terminology
