I.
Function: The position of Procurement order processing specialist is of great significance to Valley Agronomics.
A person in this position provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
The Procurement Order processing specialist is responsible for acting as the primary contact for all incoming phone calls and emails pertaining to the order desk and assisting with office tasks as needed.
Position Evaluation: Along with attitude and policy compliance, position will be evaluated according to results and outcomes achieved for Organizational, Departmental, and Individual targets and goals.
These targets and goals will change regularly, usually on an annual basis.
II.
Job Summary: These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.
Effective communication, Answer telephones and emails, with responses within 24 Hrs.
Purchase agronomic products to fulfill Agronomy center supply needs by creating POs, Delivery Ticket(s) and coordinate with Transportation department for product staging, pickup, and delivery time.
Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers as directed.
Follow up with vendors and locations, on status of deliveries and ETA's.
Confirm vendor pricing matches purchase orders placed with vendor and reconcile POs against invoice discrepancies (quantity or dollar amount) for accounts payable department.
Assist with the coordination of annual product returns across all locations.
Provide assistance to all locations with receiving errors, and correct processes.
Work with purchasing and inventory administrators to help identify and implement efficiency solutions.
Track daily transactions from start to finish.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES: High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
One year’s administrative experience preferred.
Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
Must be able to maintain accurate data, make appropriate decisions.
Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service.
Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
