Click "apply now" on this page to get started!THE ROLE: As an Accreditation Specialist in the Police Department, you will play a critical role in coordinating the accreditation and re-accreditation processes, including research, drafting, and maintaining agency policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 3 years of secretarial or administrative experience, or in similarly related functions, excellent communication, networking, partnership and customer service skills, and the ability to foster a work culture based on integrity and respect.
You will collaborate with various levels of stakeholders inside of the Police Department, as well as within the City and externally to perform various administrative tasks, to ultimately complete the accreditation process for the Pasco Police Department.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.

Three (3) years of secretarial/administrative assistance experience or related experience.
Valid Washington State driver license.
Attain WASPC Accreditation Manager Certification (Must obtain within one (1) year of hire date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in public administration, business administration, criminal justice, or a related field.
Previous public sector/local government experience.
Two (2) years of experience in program or policy management, compliance, or policy writing.
Experience with State and/or Federal accreditation process.

Standard office hours are observed, with the potential for overtime during critical project phases.
The individual may occasionally be required to lift items, with a maximum weight of 50lbs.
