Your Paraplanner Role: As a Paraplanner, you will help our clients live simpler, more productive lives by assisting Fulcrum Financial Advisors in providing exceptional client service and a unique client experience.
This includes preparing for meetings with clients and prospective clients; executing recommended changes resulting from client meetings; and coordinating directly with clients, Ameriprise Financial and other members of the Fulcrum team as appropriate.
Your responsibilities: Client Service • Gather data and prepare complete financial analyses which may include cash flow analysis, goal setting, retirement planning, and income distribution strategies.
• Complete risk analyses, hypotheticals, preliminary recommendations, fee comparisons and other investment related tools for asset allocation or investment strategies.
• Prepare portfolio risk analyses on current and proposed portfolios, or on held away assets.
• Assist in preparing insurance illustrations, applications, and underwriting follow up.
• Prepare investment performance and position reports as needed.
• Prepare other meeting content, including agendas, presentations, and prefilling forms and applications.
• Track new business to ensure forms are returned from advisor(s)/client(s), completed correctly, and submitted for processing.
• Execute trades, money movements, and other transactions.
• Track and process required minimum distributions (RMDs) • Write and distribute summary letters after meetings detailing discussions, actions taken, and next steps and follow up within 10 days of advisor client meeting.
• Execute other follow up items assigned by Advisors after meetings, including documenting opportunities, following up with clients, etc.
• Ensure clients have a documented target allocation model that is in alignment with their unique situations.
• Track required managed account reviews and ensure completion in alignment with compliance and Ameriprise requirements.
• Process estate settlements as needed.
• Provide excellent client service to Fulcrum clients as needed by addressing client needs or directing them to the appropriate resource at Fulcrum or Ameriprise.
Improvement and Growth • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
• Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and to the organization by improving processes and procedures, sharing best practices among offices and colleagues.
• Generate critical reports for advisors, staff, management, and clients as needed.

You will be required to maintain securities registrations for: your resident state and every state/jurisdiction where Fulcrum maintains an office or conducts Ameriprise Financial business.
