QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1.
WA State CTE Certificate with endorsement in Digital Video/TV Productions 2.
First Aid/CPR Card 3.
Satisfactory evaluations QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: 1.
Must have a minimum of three years experience (6000 hours) beyond the learning period in television and/or video production, with at least one year (2000 hours) experience within the last three years and experience teaching summer school.
2.
Completed required units of vocational instruction, or willing to participate in classes to complete coursework to maintain or renew vocational certification.
3.
Evidence of experience supervising and monitoring all instructional student activities and student projects related to the curriculum to assure appropriate behavior and content.
4.
Candidate will be asked to show examples of video production projects that they were involved with.
JOB DESCRIPTION 1.
Coordinate and produce various media productions for Tri-Tech Skills Center and Kennewick School District.
2.
Work on special assignments for promotion activities for Tri-Tech Skills Center and other school related media projects.
3.
Utilize competency based instruction to teach, monitor individual student progress, and grade students in the video program.
4.
Coordinate student job shadow experiences and internships in the industry.
5.
Manage student learning experiences in the school video production lab according to local advisory committee guidelines.
6.
Concurrently teach student leadership development to include participation in, and supervision of students at building, regional, and state leadership activities.
7.
Attend and participate in advisory committee meetings; keep curriculum and equipment current by implementing committee recommendations.
8.
Seek opportunities to team with other Tri-Tech faculty members in all areas of instruction.
9.
Utilize classroom management strategies that involve students in the decision making process and allow for open enrollment.
10.
Coordinate and produce with student support a series of shows for the local cooperative school districts.
11.
Develop and implement a marketing plan for the TV/Video Production program to build student enrollment and increase school district and community awareness of the TV/Video Program.
12.
Work in partnership with the Tri-Tech Radio Production program to expand opportunities for students in both programs.
13.
Successfully teach students to work in teams for class and production activities.
14.
Follow the state curriculum frameworks developed for TV/Video productions classes.
15.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
16.
Be innovative and committed to the challenge of change in education.
17.
Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain a current working knowledge relevant to their field.
18.
Be committed to success for all children.
19.
