The Hampton Inn is looking for a hospitality professional to be the next team lead for the front office department who also enjoy a positive team-oriented work environment.
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for ensuring the operation of the Front Office in an attentive friendly efficient and courteous manner providing all guests with quality service, training and leading the front desk team, and maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
The Front Desk Manager is expected to have at least 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or a related field and have a full working knowledge of all guest service supervisor duties plus the additional manager duties listed below.
*Main Duties and Responsibilities:* * Responsible for staffing supervision of entire front desk employee roster including the breakfast team and night audit team.
* Responsible for ensuring all shifts and vacant positions are covered.
* On call and available 24/7 (unless on approved time off).
* Hires and terminates all front desk members with the assistance of the General Manager.
* Assists with budgets and forecasts and weekly reports.
* Train new hires, coach, and counsel all guest service staff including night audit and breakfast employees.
* Ability to manage guest issues when other management is unavailable.
* Assist General Manager with additional tasks such as reviews and reports as needed.
* Do all enhanced learning and development to be prepared for the next step of a Front Office Manager, Assistant General Manager, Rooms Division Manager or Operations Manager.
* Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with High Desert Hotels standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
* Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures as required.
* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
* Comply with brand standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
* Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
* Set the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk.
* Get all the required information when taking room reservations.

* Review front office daily reports regularly.
* Fully comprehend and execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system.
* Ensure logging and delivery of all message’s packages and mail in a timely and professional manner.
* Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions currently underway.
* Be familiar with all in-house groups.
* Be able to perform all duties of a Front Desk Agent.
* Be able to complete and ensure that a proper bucket check room rate verification report and housekeeping report have been accurately done and filed.
* Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel.
* Set an example for other associates and be a team leader.
* Assist the Assistant General Manager in ensuring that associates are following and maintaining brand and management standards (i.
e.
, answering phone call-backs to guest request logs).
* Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures as required.
* Oversee and ensure that all guests are checked in/out in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
* Be able to perform completely and ensure that all tasks and duties on the shift checklist are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure that associates are always attentive, friendly, and courteous to all guests, managers, and all other associates.
* Ensure the maximization of room revenue.
* Answer all guest inquiries in a timely and professional nature.
* Be involved in departmental meeting planning and execution.
* Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
* Perform any other duty as required by management.
* Assist in training new hires and current associates regularly.
* Attend meetings as required by management.
