Activities Director

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Director to join our team at a senior care facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for residents, focusing on enhancing their quality of life.
Duties: - Develop and coordinate a diverse calendar of activities tailored to the residents' interests and abilities - Organize events, outings, and programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation - Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that support residents' daily living skills (ADLs) - Provide specialized activities for residents with dementia or memory care needs - Oversee the activity budget and ensure resources are utilized effectively - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback Skills: - Experience in event planning, particularly in a senior care or nursing home setting - Knowledge of dementia care principles and memory care techniques - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff - Understanding of caregiving practices in an assisted living environment - Creativity and enthusiasm to develop innovative and engaging activities for seniors This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors in our community.
