*Overview*
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Mechanic/Equipment Manager to join our team.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our golf course equipment, and oversight over shop area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Golf Course Mechanic/Equipment Manager will perform the following duties:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment.
Instruct and train maintenance workers on preventive maintenance measures.
Prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work of small engine, and large diesel equipment.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program within budget, including purchasing repair parts and replacement supplies.
Keep complete records for equipment and parts inventory, equipment conditions, costs of repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Oversee the shop area, ensuring a clean and organized maintenance facility.
Perform equipment maintenance tasks, including mower grinding/sharpening and torching/welding repairs.
Ensure optimal quality of cut for all playing surfaces daily.
Observe employees' use of equipment and report misuse to the Golf Course Superintendent.
Lubricate and service all golf course maintenance equipment.
Adhere to standards and guidelines set by management.
Other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.
*Qualifications*
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Experience in a related field.
Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses.
Skill in the use of equipment repair tools and various types of mechanical repair.
Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.
Ability to move and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
Proficiency or ability to learn computer use and knowledge of maintenance programs.
Strong communication skills.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Highly engaged, approachable, and proactive leader.
Strong time-management and organizational skills

Must have experience in a related field.
Preferred experience in golf course maintenance.
Preferred Certifications:
Preferred certifications from GCSAA.
Work Schedule:
40-45 hours a week.
Will be required to work rare weekends and holidays as needed.
