*Required Education and Experience *
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, public administration, or related field and over four years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the energy, utilities, or public sector.
OR
High School Diploma and at least seven years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the energy, utilities, or public sector.
*Desired Education and Experience *
Project Management certification
*Required abilities and skills *
Familiarity with the regulations and guidelines governing the grant process, especially for federal and state grants.
Prior success in both writing and securing grants.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, strong planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Aptitude for identifying challenges and obstacles within projects and finding innovative and practical solutions.
Experience with either directly or indirectly leading a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Competency in creating or managing accurate and realistic budgets that align with project proposals and grant requirements.
*Desired abilities and skills *
Involvement in project coordination or supporting project management roles with planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
Prior experience with the development of project plans, setting milestones, and managing resources and risks effectively.
Experience in roles focused on managing or facilitating change within organizations, including implementing new processes, systems, or technologies.
The ability to switch between the detail-oriented focus of grant writing and the broad, strategic perspective for project management.
