Description: Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE), has an opening for a Temporary Production Coordinator working at EOCI in the beautiful city of Pendleton, Oregon.
As a Production Coordinator you will work collaboratively as part of a team to provide supervision, coordination, and training of AIC (adults in custody) agents for garment assembly.
The successful candidate will ensure a safe and secure work environment within the institution, following OCE and DOC rules and policies, and provide support and coordination of garment business.
The Production Coordinator should have the ability to interpret and understand oral and written instructions to effectively communicate with staff and AICs.
This position offers a competitive compensation package including employer paid health, vision, dental, paid time off, and retirement through the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 11 paid holidays per year.
Desired Knowledge and Skills: Production/quality control experience Inventory experience Ability to coach, correct, provide feedback on behavior and performance based on oral and written feedback to AICs Security, law enforcement and/or correctional experience Exceptional oral and written communication skills Customer Service experience Preventative machine maintenance Experience in garment production Experience with supervision.
Ability to multi-task, strong time management/interpersonal skills.
Work Conditions: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical labor for a sustained period of time Ability to operate and drive a forklift May be exposed to noisy equipment, dust, foul odors, and hot/humid working environment Long periods of standing and walking on concrete floors Minimum Qualifications: Three years of supervisory production experience (preferably in a garment production setting).
Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check screening.
Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment.
