Description
*The Grizzly Bar Supervisor works in supervising staff and daily operations of the Grizzly Bar and Seasons Restaurant, menus, room service, work with alcohol & F&B vendors to order product, and help book entertainment and events.

Responsibilities
* Supervises drink and food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
* Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
* Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
* Maintain quality control for all drinks and food served.
* Ensure health code compliance and sanitation standards are met.
* Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff.
* Ensure that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
* Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services.
Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations.
Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
* Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
* Maintain cleanliness of the bar on a daily basis.
* Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in planning and setting up special restaurant events for (e.
g.
Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Holiday Events, etc.
).
* Complete other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
*Work Environment*
The Grizzly Bar Supervisor works in the bar within the Hotel and may be working in close proximity to co-workers.
They spend most of their shifts moving between the front of house and the kitchen.
They may also spend some time working in an office.
They often work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The work can be hectic, and dealing with dissatisfied customers can be stressful.
*Physical Demands*
* Days with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Days where you walk and stand during entire shift.
* Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
* Remain stationary for long periods of time.
* Frequently wash hands.
* Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
* Be able to manipulate fingers, hands and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry and wipe.
* Be able to hear and talk.
* Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.
Qualifications
*Required Education and Experience*
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous bar experience required.
Must have basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
* Food Handlers Card
* MAST Washington State Permit
* Must be 21 or older.
*Preferred Education and Experience*
* Post-secondary education or suitable combination of continuing education and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
