Abstract information into the Hospital’s Information System.

Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician or graduate from a Health Information management program preferred
Two (2) years' of ICD-10-CM Diagnostic and Procedural Coding: Two years of CPT-4 Procedural Coding Preferred.
American Health Information Management - or American Academy of Professional Coders credential, Certified Coding Associate or Certified Professional Coder required within 90 days of hire REQUIRED.
In the event that the associate should not pass the CCA within the 90 day timeframe the associate will be transferred into a HDA Trainee position.
The associate will then have 45 days to retake the CCA exam.
In the event the associate does not pass the exam or fails to meet the deadline the associate will be terminated from Lourdes Health Network.
American Health Information Management Credential, Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based or RHIT required within two (2) years of employment.
In the event that the associate does not sit for the CCS/CCS-P exam by the two (2) year anniversary of hire the associate will be immediately put on Administrative leave without pay.
The associate will then have one (1) week to provide the CCS/CCS-P certification to the HIM Manager.
In the event that the associate does not comply and/or sit for the CSS/CCS-P they will be terminated from Lourdes Heath Network immediately.
In the event that the associate does not pass the CCS/CCS-P they will be moved to a HDA Trainee position.
The associate will have 120 days to retake the exam.
If the associate does not pass the exam or fails to meet the deadline the associated will be terminated immediately.
CASCC – Ambulatory Surgical Center; CEDC – Emergency Department; CEMC-Evaluation and Management, CGIC-Gastroenterology, CGSC-General, COSC-Orthopedic Surgery, CENTC-Otolaryngology, CPEDC-Pediatrics, CUC Urology, COC-Certified Outpatient Coder credentials preferred.
Washington State Drivers License, proof of liability insurance to use personal vehicle and/or LHN Company vehicles for LHN business purposes required.
Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
