*MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR*
*JOB PURPOSE:*
Spearhead initiatives and activities to ensure that members derive value from the Chamber.
Cultivate and maintain connections with members and volunteers.
Enthusiastically deliver information to prospects and members regarding benefits, opportunities, resources, etc.
, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction.

*SALARY: *$65,000 - $75,000 Annually
*REPORTS TO: *President & CEO
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*Connect with Members - *Develop a genuine interest in the members and their experiences.
Regularly engage with prospects and members to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations.
Keep abreast of issues of importance to members and business leaders.
*Membership Growth* - Develop and execute strategies to increase the Chamber’s membership base.
Work to upgrade current members to higher levels of membership.
Research the viability and availability of affinity programs and the inclusion of appropriate offerings to members.
*Member Retention - Implement initiatives to retain existing members.
Develop a “high touch” member * retention and engagement plan consisting of pre-planned interactions with members throughout the year that include phone calls, letters, emails, face-to-face meetings, surveys, etc.
*Customer Service* - Provide excellent customer service to address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
Actively support and engage in Chamber events and programs to increase contact with members and promote the Chamber.
Organize and execute member Ribbon Cutting and Groundbreaking Ceremonies.
*Understand and Articulate Value – Cultivate a deep understanding of the value and positive impacts * that the Chamber provides to its members.
Participate in the development of marketing and sales materials.
*Budget Management - Develop and manage budgets related to membership activities and achieve * budgeted revenue and retention goals.
Assist in the collection of delayed renewals and requests for cancellation.
*Database Management - Manage and utilize customer relationship management (CRM) database to * track membership status, engagement, and interactions.
Maximize the potential of the membership database and ensure its accuracy.
*Collaboration - Work closely with other departments within the Chamber to ensure a coordinated * approach to member engagement.
Collaborate with volunteers to support membership-related activities.
Manage Ambassador Program and LEARN Groups.
*MISCELLANEOUS:*
Engage with Chamber associations and participate in appropriate continuing leadership and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
*EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:*
College degree preferred; three years’ experience in customer service or sales related field.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are critical in this role.
Experience working with volunteers, organizational stakeholders (members, board of directors, community leaders) and/or trade/association/membership organization essential.
Knowledge of or experience in small business issues is beneficial.
Must be a passionate advocate for the core purpose and mission of the Tri-City Regional Chamber.
Requires strong skills in the areas of public relations, marketing, sales, organization, communication, and teamwork.
Strong degree of adaptability and flexibility to relate to a wide variety of people and projects.
Demonstrated confidence in and ability to build meaningful relationships.
Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to acquire new skills to use Chamber’s customized database.
Working knowledge of the Tri-Cities region.
