Our Department Supervisors provide an Amazing Customer Experience through helpful and friendly service that ensures customer needs are being met and encourages customers to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.
Department Supervisors solve problems for our customers and staff.
They are responsible for daily store operations, in-store merchandising, and administrative functions within the department and store.
This key role leads and trains staff to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties include but not limited to:
Handle opening and closing procedures of the department and store.
Create department schedules within labor budget based on business need.
Coach, guide, and train associates on front-end and back-end procedures.
Ensure company and store policies are upheld.
Support inventory control and enforcement of loss prevention policies.
Maintain department appearance and presentation.
Communicate with fellow coworkers and delegate as needed.
Provide support to other departments.
Report any inventory or pricing discrepancies or issues to management.
Engage with customers, asking questions to determine their needs.
Availability to a varying work open, closing, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $19.
00 -$21.
00/hr.
Schedule: Full time, up to 40 hours per week.
Workdays will be varied and include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
Basic knowledge and understanding of outdoor sports, fishing, camping, hunting.
Learn and exemplify the Helpful Ready policy of Grigg’s/ACE Hardware.
3 or more years retail experience.
2 or more year supervisory experience.
Working with management in support of inventory management.
Must know, understand, and demonstrate proper cash handling skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Computer skills, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Sharp attention to detail.
Elevated communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
