The Senior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records.
This role will be based at our company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing accounting operations.
Supervise the accounting staff, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and training coordination.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support external, internal, and regulatory audits.
Manage federal income tax related entries and schedules, including record maintenance.
Handle monthly B & O tax entries and related documentation.
Review general ledger accounts and accounts payable entries for accuracy.
Prepare quarterly reports.
Conduct accounting and regulatory research as needed.
Assist the Accounting Manager with new projects and information requests.
Update accounting procedure manuals as necessary.
Generate reports for other departments on a monthly basis.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Stay updated on accounting industry trends through literature and seminars.
Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
2-4 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience preferred.
Job Knowledge / Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, Google applications, CRM databases, QuickBooks, and other relevant software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail, effective time management, and strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
