Job Description
* The Farm Manager oversees and coordinates farming operations of row crop production (e.
g.
, potatoes, wheat, corn, onions, beans, etc.
).
He or she overseas workers as well as performs manual labor when necessary.
The manager is responsible for identifying and correcting problems to ensure that the farm runs as efficiently and profitably as possible.
In summary, the Farm Manager directs the duties having to do with operating a crop farm, including supervising employees and production of potatoes and other vegetables.
Responsibilities include, but are not limed to:
* Makes day to day operational decisions.
* Provides weekly report and other regular communication to management.
* Directs and coordinates worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, and grading.
* Ensures proper maintenance of all farm buildings, equipment, and pivot sprinkler irrigation systems.
* Coordinates growing activities with those of equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments.
* Create safe work environment.
*Education Requirement*
* High School Diploma
* Agricultural degree a plus
*Experience Requirement*
* Several years managing acres and overseeing work crews
* Pivot Sprinkler Irrigation
* Large farm experience and/or bilingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
00 - $115,000.
