The College of Education (COE) at Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is now accepting applications for its new Program Director in the Masters in Social Work (MSW) Program.
This is a Full-Time, 12-Month position that is eligible for the full array of EOU employee benefits and reports directly to the Dean of the College of Education.
The successful candidate may locate in the La Grande, Oregon area or work remotely most anywhere in the USA that has reliable and adequate high-speed bandwidth.
Working hours are in the Pacific Time Zone.

The Program Director is the Masters in Social Work program senior management position responsible for overall program leadership, academic and operational management and coordination, program academic and clinical integrity, and is the responsible employee for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation quality of the Masters in Social Work program.
The Program Director is the academic unit leader for the Masters in Social Work program and is responsible for hiring, supervising, developing, evaluating, and teaching quality of Online Clinical Educators, the Field Placement Coordinator, and other program personnel.
The Program Director contributes informed and accurate information and recommendations regarding the Masters in Social Work program’s strategic goals, operations, academic integrity, and development of and expenditures from the budget; provides year-round leadership to the operations and academic performance of the Masters in Social Work program; and responds to inquiries regarding the academic unit.
Instructional responsibilities: After completing the initial preparations, development and implementation of the new Masters in Social Work program, beginning in year two in concert with initiation of instruction, the Program Director will be teaching core courses within the program in compliance with CSWE requirements.
Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the Masters in Social Work program, ensuring compliance with CSWE standards.
Serve as Masters in Social Work program lead and liaison with CSWE pertaining to all matters related to securing and maintaining CSWE accreditation.
Assist, support, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Masters in Social Work program, including working closely with program Online Clinical Educators, administration, staff, program advisors, and other team members.
Teach online Masters in Social Work core and elective courses (after the first year of program development and build-out).
Work closely with the Field Coordinator and all other Masters in Social Work program personnel to build and oversee a robust student field experience.
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of accreditation and program approval standards for clinical mental health counseling, especially concerning the Masters in Social Work program curriculum development.
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of and experience in employing best practices in the assessment of student learning and Masters in Social Work program academic outcomes.
Use relevant information and individual judgment to ensure activities and processes comply with laws, regulations, and standards.
Demonstrate, apply, develop, and maintain regulatory and compliance documentation, reporting, and other metrics using electronic media.
Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; Demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other software associated with the Masters in Social Work Program.
Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated MSW or similar clinical graduate program management competence including instructional and staff supervision that engages and inspires individual and collective program performance, sound and efficient fiscal and operations management, academic integrity, and superior written and verbal communication talents.

or Terminal Degree from CSWE accredited program.
Three (3) of Full-time professional clinical mental counseling/advising.
Three (3) years of experience teaching core courses required of a CSWE accredited program.
Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check.
Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.

Three (3) years of experience securing CSWE accreditation.
Three (3) years of experience working/teaching in an online environment.
Three (3) years of experience working with an online program management (OPM) provider.
