Position Overview:
Crown Utilities, LLC is seeking a supervisor who has extensive knowledge of underground utility construction operations including equipment types, operatoring and laborering skills, and safety operations/requirements, and so forth.
This role will be the direct supervision of Crown?s in-house field construction crews and their subcontractors.
This role will be overseeing underground fiber and utility installation projects of various sizes and scopes of work.
Knowledge of the telecom industry, a strong work ethic, and making safety a top priority are key success factors in this role.
Position Summary:
Plan, organizes, and oversees the construction of telecom projects being performed by in-house field crews and subcontractors.
Participates in the conceptual development of a construction projects and oversee its organization, scheduling, inventory and materials, and implementation.
This position formulates company policies and ensures adherence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Management and Subcontractors to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with utility construction projects.
Oversees project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
Confer with Management and Subcontractors to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Initiate and maintain connections with owners and other contacts, such as engineers, municipalities, vendors, and internal team members to facilitate project activities.
Monitor and control project through administrative direction to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Represent company in project meetings, safety meetings, and attend strategy meetings.
May request supplies and materials to complete project.
Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, budgets, financial estimates, and scheduling and report to upper management.
Ensure compliance with building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations.
