SUMMARY:
As our HACCP Supervisor, you'll lead the charge in ensuring our plant's compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing HACCP, SSOP, and SOP programs with precision.
Dive into the rhythm of managing paperwork, tracking, and managing NRs, and coordinating with our talented team for effective preventive actions.
Your role will be a dynamic blend of communication, verification, and follow-up – maintaining seamless dialogue between management and USDA personnel while ensuring our pre-op procedures and sanitation reviews hit all the right notes.
Collaboration is key as you frequently liaise with the Quality Assurance Manager and Corporate HACCP SSOP Manager, tackling priority assignments and resolving issues with finesse.
With food safety, quality, and legality at the forefront, you'll be part of a team where safety is everyone's responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

in Food Science Meat Science or related field preferred.
Experience: Basic HACCP implementation and Sanitation experience in a food processing plant is preferred.
Should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the following areas: Process and product knowledge of fresh meat products.
Complete familiarity with the developmental principles of HACCP SSOP s and application of these programs.
Basic understanding of Food Microbiology.
Comprehensive understanding of food plant sanitation.
Minimum 3 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
Basic knowledge of meat plant HACCP SSOP sanitation food microbiology.
Conduct CSI training: must know all processes involved in plant production in order to identify where potential hazards might exist; must have HACCP knowledge and training; ability to interpret statistical charts and data.
The HACCP Supervisor must demonstrate independent and sound decision-making skills.
They must be able to evaluate balance and adjust multiple and changing priorities.
The Supervisor must be self-directed in the assignment and administration of daily departmental tasks and responsibilities.
The Supervisor must be self-motivated to continuously evaluate systems and processes for improvement and problem avoidance.
Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills including generating simple letters spreadsheets and or graphics for personal business use or creating simple queries and simply formatted data output using a fourth-generation language.
If using a Tyson Business Computer System job requires an understanding of the system features and functionality and how to use these features.
Communication Skills: Written verbal communication skills necessary to communicate across multiple disciplines.
Must be able to communicate both verbally and written with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
