JOB SUMMARY
Assists the security manager with the security department on assigned shift, including all security functions and supervision of security personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
Under the direction of the security manager, train and supervise the security officers in security techniques, professional behavior, the casino's policy and procedures, and applicable laws.
In the manager’s absence, assumes responsibility for the department.
Monitors activities in progress to ensure that they are in conformance with established standards - regulatory, internal controls, and security department procedures.
Ensure policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations.
Uses tact and finesse in the handling of complaints from employees and guests.
Performs supervisory functions, including employee counseling notices, performance evaluations, leave approval, employee scheduling, and work assignments.
Conduct and attend regular staff meetings.
Participation and development of a tribal member workforce.
Promote workplace and customer safety at all times, addressing safety issues appropriately.
Ensure the emergency evacuation procedures are followed, monitoring alarms/systems checks.
Maintain communication logs and reports in an efficient, professional manner and review/ensure completeness and accuracy of officers’ reports.
Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Has authority for the security department in the Manager’s absence and/or as directed by the Manager or Director.
SIGNATORY ABILITY:
Fills and credits for Pit and as a runner.
Keys for table drop box removal.
Keys to Dropbox storage room and cabinets.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:
Most security reports and records, all mug files, etc.
Pit area.
Any sensitive area, upon request, and accompanied by the department supervisor or MOD.
Closed circuit TV area, when necessary.
Internal and external transport of cash.
Table and slot drop boxes when removed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of gaming security and/or law enforcement experience.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
High School Diploma or GED or 10 years experience.
Needs oral and written communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
Needs to comprehend and implement procedural manuals and prepare detailed reports.
Possess a valid driver’s license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
Customer service experience.
Needs to work/sit for long periods at work/computer station and perform the repetitive motion of arms, wrist, and fingers; and at times, move throughout a smoke-filled environment.
Excellent personal appearance and hygiene habits.
Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Gaming Management Certification.
Security lead officer experience.
Valid Commercial Driver's License.
