We’re looking for an Operations & Human Resources Manager to join our creative team.
This role is an administrative position that oversees HR, office management, and some operations.
The position reports to our COO.
It is an in-office job at our Opportunity Accelerator Business Offices.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in HR, office management, operations and ideally some project management experience with small to medium sized business operations
Required experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field
3 years' experience in office administration and human resources
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding human resources
Proficient with Microsoft office products
Proven organization skills with a high level of attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
Human Resources, Personnel Development & Project Management
Manage employer/employee benefit administration and reporting, healthcare census and renewal
Manage hiring practices, on/off-boarding, exit interviews, and other staffing needs as assigned
Manage recruiting strategy and practices; career fairs, out-reach programs to universities, internship programs and other recruiting approaches
Promote and help oversee company culture and strategize for and support employee retention programs and activities
Update employee handbook and manage and train staff on policies
Drive compliance with applicable HR, employment and personnel laws and regulations
Manage personnel performance evaluation and annual reviews and support employee 1:1 development and career path development
Oversee employee training and development in professional skills and project management
Office & Facilities Management
Develop systems with our off-site finance support team including handling of mail and bills, making bank deposits and tracking project expenses
Maintain and order supplies and manage all shipping
Support staff in events, managing catering, guiding and supporting hospitality and supporting client experience
Oversee management and maintenance of all office systems, office assignments and office equipment including security, cleanliness and property protection
Oversee and work with contractors to maintain parking lots, HVAC systems, security systems fire and alarms systems, etc.
meeting semi-annual and annual requirements and reporting
Oversee upstairs tenant, addressing questions and facilitating a positive relationship as well as compliance with the lease
Emergency after-hours point of contact for facilities including security system and interactions with police or fire department
Operations, Technology & Systems:
Business license renewal and annual report filings, property tax audit and filing (NewEdge & Killer B’s) in partnership with finance staff
Project management software troubleshooting, support, and training for staff
Develop and oversee document retention policies and manage disposal of records
Oversee professional and general insurance certificate of insurances for projects in partnership with business development and finance teams
Create and ensure compliance with emergency and security policies and procedures, including cyber-security procedures
Manage all software licenses and contract services and subscriptions
Manage IT subcontractor, acquiring equipment for staff and ensuring all software and hardware, licensing, and inventory needs for staff and office are met
