Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy.
The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc.
(Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).
This Manager position will report to the Facility Engineering Director.
This position will manage the Work Planning Department including Construction and Corrective Maintenance planning.
The specific duties of the Work Planning Manager will include but are not limited to the following activities: • Maintains planning group compliance with Work Planning and Work Instruction Development standard at Navarro-ATL.
• Responsible for managing Work Planners in the initiation, development, execution, changes, and final closeout of all work packages in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Work with other organizations to ensure integration of all subject matter experts (SME) input to and approval of work packages and any required changes to these documents.
• Ensure activities are prepared to meet cost, scope, and schedule.
• Participate in routine meetings to status preparation of prioritized work packages to management.
• Collaborate with Work Planning Program Manager to provide status of compliance with governing requirements.
• Interface with Facility Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure procurement activities are coordinated to support work package preparation and company priorities and schedules.
• Responsible for assigning training and identifying required qualifications for all CM Planners and ensure that relevant procedures are current and accurate.
• Mentor and encourage competence and upward mobility for Work Planning Staff.
• Support development and maintenance of governing Work Planning procedures and policies.
• Review and ensure completeness and compliance of all newly developed and changed planning documents.
Responsibilities: Under general managerial oversight, promotes a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the Navarro-ATL mission, vision, and values, based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
• Effectively leads team members including establishing arrangements that allow them to perform effectively in their role.
• Manages assigned scope and subordinates by ensuring adequate resources are provided, assigning and tracking tasks, evaluating personnel performance, and providing professional development opportunities.
• Mentors, trains, coaches, and counsels staff in the effective development and delivery of assigned programs, projects, and deliverables.
Identifies opportunities for improvement, including professional development, training, ongoing review or work products/deliverables, and adjustments to schedule.
• Manage assigned corrective actions and leads/performs assessments.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 10 years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience.
Preferred Qualifications: • A working knowledge of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Smartplant platforms is highly desirable.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
