Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks an Operations Supervisor.
The Supervisor will join the Operations Field Support organization.
This position will perform duties as a Field Work Supervisor (FWS) and focus on Conduct of Operations while maintaining a safe workplace that is compliant with facility and regulatory standards.
The Operations Supervisors duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Supervise/Direct bargaining unit personnel;
- Assist planners in team planning meetings, walkdowns, and determining resource needs for field activities;
- Maintain awareness of work status and field activities.
- Communicate field work status and issues to Management team;
- Provide status at "Plan of the Day" and "Plan of the Week" meetings and help to resolve resource and schedule issues;
- Perform work package reviews and approvals;
- Ensure work package / procedure compliance;
- Conduct pre-job briefings to ensure personnel involved in the work activity are familiar with the work scope hazards, hazard controls, precautions, limitations, required training, applicable procedures, and response to emergencies;
- Ensure work activities are complete in accordance with standards of conduct.
- Address worker issues and honor STOP work authority, elevating to management when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Grade 18:
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field; and
- Eight (8) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 19:
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field; and
- Nine (9) years of related experience, to include a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 20:
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field; and
- Ten (10) years of related experience, to include a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Nuclear Operations either on a Department of Energy site or commercial site.
- Previous experience with DOE, DNFSB staff and regulators desirable.
- Field Work Supervisor / Person in Charge qualification

Hiring Range Minimum: $104,175
Hiring Range Maximum: $131,425
Grade 19:
Hiring Range Minimum: $114,475
Hiring Range Maximum: $144,325
Grade 20:
Hiring Range Minimum: $126,025
Hiring Range Maximum: $158,875

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market.
A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted.
