We are currently hiring for one full-time permanent NDE Lead/CWI to join our growing team! We offer competitive wages, great benefits and a positive work environment.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties: Responsible for performance of inspection to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
Performs inspection to various criteria to meet quality control standards, Coordinate and manage customer interface with resident supplier quality personnel Provide suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
Resolve quality problems at facilities, warehouses, and other areas as required.
Evaluate and take corrective action, when necessary, with regard to quality.
Educate and instruct personnel in recommended quality control testing, nondestructive examination and confirm company procedures are being maintained.
Ensure and verify the adequacy of inspections, Welding, NDE, Testing for fabrication activities.
This includes verification of documentation; QC Controls are appropriate and adequate to meet the various contract requirements.
Assists the QA manager in performance of audits, surveillances and provides QA and QC support as necessary.
Provides QC oversight of internal and subcontract fabrication activities to the requirements of national codes and standards, including NQA-1.
Planning and performance of acceptance inspections, receiving and testing of safety significant and general service nuclear facility items, equipment and materials.
Serve as point of contact for NDE (non-destructive examination) technical interface with NDE subcontractors and clients.
Maintains CWI cert.
Support departmental and company training objectives.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) qualification.
Must recertify and maintain NDE qualifications/certifications.
Previous or current ASNT certifications in VT, PT, MT, UT, RT, or LT is a plus.
Ability to read, write and comprehend both verbal communications and written directions including complex blueprints, technical charts and specification sheets.
Must pass an employment record, criminal background check and a drug screen (drug and alcohol-free workplace).
Must be a US citizen.

Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and leather work boots.
Will be required to work in hot/cold/damp environments.
Working Conditions while Performing Essential Functions: This position is performed in our Richland WA fabrication facility with occasional travel to vendors and industrial sites.
The atmosphere is fast paced and deadline oriented with focus on safety and quality.
